Pinching, coiling, and slab construction are some of the techniques that will be explored followed by low-fire glazing. Sketchbook Club (ages 6+) In addition to clay, we LOVE all ART mediums! We are so excited about this latest 2-D Art Class. Sketchbooks are a fundamental tool for creative expression. Young artists will use their imaginations while developing their drawing and painting skills in this portable, personal format. Cartooning, portraits, landscapes, still-life and abstraction are some of the subjects that will be explored in a variety of mediums from pencil to markers to watercolors. Whimsical, fun and not formulaic this class will encourage individual expression! All levels from beginners to advanced students are welcome. Class fee includes all materials and a sketchbook that each young artist will bring home at the end of the 8 week session.

Spring Break Kids Clay Camp (ages 5+)
Looking for something fun and creative to engage your child over Spring Break? Young artists will have fun learning the basics of clay in this 3 day camp. Pinching, coiling, and slab construction and an introduction to the pottery wheel are some of the techniques that will be explored followed by low-fire glazing. Class fee includes all materials and kiln firings to complete multiple fired ceramic artworks.

Private Clay Parties for Kids
Celebrate your child’s next birthCLAY party at Compass Clay Studio, bring your Scout troop to learn about ceramics or just enjoy a fun activity with your favorites group of kids! Rate includes use of our classroom for 2 hours, instruction, clay, low-fire glazing, and all firings. You can pick up the finished works about 3-4 weeks after the party to allow time for drying and 2 firings. We are happy to work with you and your child to design a unique project idea that everyone will love. Pinch pot tea cups, animal masks, coil vases and decorated plates are some of our popular projects. $295 for 6 participants. ($25 per each additional participant.)

Private Party Cancellation and Project Confirmation Policy A $50 deposit is required on all private event bookings. This deposit is fully refundable with a minimum of 48 hour cancellation notice. The deposit is non-refundable with cancellations made with less than 48 hour notice or on no-shows. To allow for studio set up, confirmation of party size and project type is needed within 48 hours of the event or the event will be cancelled without deposit refund.
