Open studios sessions can accommodate 6-10 participants on a first come, first served basis.

Open Studio Use Policy
Open Studio space is limited and offered on a first come first served basis. Open studio sessions are non-instructional.

We require participants in our open studio sessions to participate in 4-8 weeks of instructional classes in our studio to familiarize themselves with the materials, processes and our specific studio workings prior to working independently. Participants in open studio sessions must be currently enrolled or previously enrolled in a class at Compass Clay Studio or have an understanding of ceramics and studio processes at either the high school/college level or equivalent. Individuals who do not have prior experience with clay/glaze will not be allowed to participate in open studio. Open studio sessions are designed for adult participants over 18.

​*Clay/glaze fee is additional at $33 per 25 lb. bag of clay and firing fees are additional at a per kiln load rate or at an individual piece rate of $.06 per cubic inch.
